The Zespri voice-over casting process was extensive, yet super-exciting.
Finding Goldie & Green for 6 countries in 7 languages (Dutch, Flemish, Walloon, French, Spanish, Italian, German) is an elaborate process, trying to find two different characters to portray the Kiwi Brothers. As an extra bonus, this year a female “human” voice was added to the cast!
It’s magic to see the same film in various languages. It’s the same, yet totally different. The melody of the French version is entirely another vibe than, for instance, the Italian one, and I love it. It works in both languages and remains true to the story and the friendship between our two Kiwi brothers.
Our sound designers recorded all voice-overs either live in our studio in Amsterdam, or via live connections via Zoom all over Europe. The sound design and music were created by our in-house composers who had a blast with this project. It’s uplifting, young and funny.
This project is so much fun, collaborating with my direct colleagues who created the whole VFX and animation of the films and working with the great people at VMLY&R, Hogarth Worldwide and our client Zespri International.
We work the best when we work together. We’re beyond proud to present the end-result. One of our favorite projects ever!
