We’ve teamed up with Wunderman Thompson to create a new CGI stylized character for PLUS supermarkets. Postoffice was involved from the early concepting to the final product. Our sketch & design team started out with 2D pencil concepts which evolved into this lovable CGI wheelbarrow.
Stylized character for Plus supermarkets
The character design process will begin with 2D and 3D sketches to find the right concepts. A material study in collaboration with agency and director will guide us towards a palet of materials. We give characters charisma which audiences can connect with. Postoffice has made many types of characters ranging from cartoony and stylized to photo-real. We work together with creatives and director to find the perfect character designs.
Eyes are the window to the soul and are a common pitfall in CGI characters. In our years of experience we’ve gained extensive knowledge about creating highly detailed eyes with a real depth that the viewer can connect with. A stylized character which needed to live in the physical world was a fun challenge for our VFX team. During the concept phase we explored emotions and expressions, look and feel of the materials and his signature animation style to bring to life a character that can last for years.
