For ANWB Travel, we created a charming commercial told from a dog’s perspective. While overhearing his bosses talk about trips to Japan, Lapland, and Italy, Buddy(the dog) drifts off into vivid daydreams of faraway adventures. Only to be gently brought back to reality when he learns he’ll be staying with a babysitter instead. A light, humorous twist that keeps the story relatable and warm.
What makes this project truly special is how it was made. The entire film was created using advanced AI tools. From concept art and storyboarding to animation, world-building, and final image generation. By combining generative video, AI-driven visual design, and intelligent editing workflows, we were able to move seamlessly between realism and dreamlike fantasy, building entire worlds without traditional production constraints.
At Postoffice Amsterdam, we actively embrace AI as a creative filmmaking tool, not as a shortcut, but as an expansion of what’s possible. AI allows us to prototype faster, visualize ideas earlier, and produce fully realized films with a level of flexibility and imagination that would be difficult to achieve through conventional production alone. It opens doors to new storytelling formats, hybrid aesthetics, and agile production pipelines that fit today’s creative landscape.
At Postoffice Amsterdam, we also crafted the full audio landscape for this film. From carefully selected music and detailed sound design to voice casting and direction, every sonic element was developed in-house. By combining AI-driven production with our expertise in audio storytelling, we ensured the emotional tone of the film resonated just as strongly in sound as it did in image.
This project, developed together with Hotel L’Amour and directed by Boyo Frederix, is a great example of how AI filmmaking can deliver cinematic storytelling with emotional impact, crafted entirely through a new creative workflow.
